ROOF ASSESSMENTS
Hello, World!
GreenDeck Climate Commons • rainwater planning
Calculate a weather-informed property plan.
Estimate a single rain event, look up a seasonal local forecast, and compare storage goals to inform a site-specific design.
01 · rain event
What can your roof catch?
One inch of rain on one square foot of roof produces about 0.623 gallons. Adjust the inputs to model a specific event.
Efficiency accounts for first-flush diversion, gutter losses, screens, and normal system conditions.
02 · local rainfall
Find your local forecast.
Enter a U.S. street address. The planner checks the next 24 hours, a typical wet-day rain event from the last 10 years, and a 90-day precipitation outlook.
Your address is used only for this opt-in lookup. Census JSONP resolves the address; if it is unavailable, the planner falls back to the city or ZIP code and labels the result approximate. Weather data comes from the National Weather Service and Open-Meteo. Seasonal estimates are area-scale planning inputs, not guarantees.
03 · cistern scenario
Explore a useful starting capacity.
A final cistern size depends on rainfall timing, outdoor water use, overflow routing, local requirements, and site conditions. This is a transparent first planning range.
